7:30 last evening looked a lot like 6:30 am.

The temp dropped to 3.1c last night, no frost yet, but lots of fog at 6:30.

Nothing to report today, but I've heard that Martha has made a visit to Little Tomiko to redecorate a privy. I'll have to investigate that tomorrow.

6:30 am.

Tinges of color every where.

The first frost might be closer than we think. The temp dropped to 4.1c last night, and tonight is supposed to be cooler still. I might close a window or two before I go to bed.

Richie came over this morning and cut the top off of a cedar tree next to the cabin. Other than that, things are quiet on the lake today.

7:30 am.

The maples are starting to turn.

On a sad note, I have to report the passing of my friend Puff. Puff was responsible for the annihilation of a large portion of the mosquito population.

This afternoon.

Today was a day of rest on Little Tomiko. Brian, Marg, Tina and I had a nice lunch at Richie and Leanne's.

Richie and Leanne had a visitor last evening while they were out. A bear tipped there BBQ over and left a paw print on the side of their trailer. Coming for a visit Julie?

It took a while, but Mother Nature adjusted to Berlin's presence at Little Tomiko and the skies slowly cleared last evening.

This morning, back on track, weather wise.

Richie and Leanne's reconditioned dock is 99.923% completed. I guess that material estimating is not one of Richie's strong points either.

This morning. Turn around Berlin!

We didn't finish Richie's dock yesterday due to his poor time management and supervisory shills. Here the replacement stringer is being moved.

I saw TT in a dress last night. A real, honest to goodness, Sunday go to meetin dress. Sorry, no picture available, shock, you know. What's next, high heels and war paint?

Happy 6th anniversary Kurt and Michelle!

Sun set last night.

Oh no, not another beautiful morning on Little Tomiko. Berlin, if you bring bad weather with you, we'll send you right back home.

We should get Richie's dock completed today.

Yesterday.

If Berlin wants a log house, she gets a log house. Remember, size doesn't matter.

Last evening.

This afternoon.

Richie should have a dock tomorrow, if it doesn't rain.

This morning.

Kevin's dog Max.

Kevin, showing Rich what needs to be done.

While Rich was playing with his stick.......

Kevin and I put a front on the shower. Here, Tina tries it out. See, Berlin? Any thing a woman can think of, two men can do.

Last evening.

This morning.

I went over to Richie's yesterday afternoon. He had gone to town and picked up some gas and Tomiko "pop" for me. His friend Kevin is there helping him. Kevin is a slave driver, Richie doesn't even get a "pop" break. Here they are making a crib for the dock. Hey everybody, don't you think that it's about time that Richie makes a proper crib?

Last evening.

Another nice morning to sit on the deck with a coffee.

I had a cardiac test this morning. I stepped on this snake and it almost scared the crap out of me (bi-focals, can't see what's at your feet).By the way, the sphincter appears to be in good shape too.

This afternoon.

The cedar cones are coming out.

Mountain ash berries.

I'll tell Rich that the shower does not meet code. Maybe he can plant some shrubs out front.

Boy, I'll tell ya. It's tough waking up to this view every morning.

Nice day too.

I checked up on Richie. You got 3 sides Berlin. He ran out of barn board and screws. I won't peek when I boat past.

The Kelly's house is coming along. A couple more windows and then the siding.

I've made a list of chores that I need to finish before winter. I've told myself that I can't go cruising (carousing?) until I get at least one done every day. This morning I fixed some siding and removed a window from the side porch.

Fall is coming! I saw two whiskey jacks on Sunday. Gee, it only seems like five months ago that I was taking pictures of buds on the trees. Soon it will be the fall colours. I've had a couple of hawks hanging around for the past week or so. Their shrieking gets me up in the morning. Hey TT, their noise is way worse than finger nails on the black board.

Happy birthday Ellia!
