We have had three days of mostly sun, and lots of wind. Except for the wind, it's been very quiet here, so, just some scenery pics.

Monday.

You can see the snow blowing across the surface of the lake.

Tuesday.

It's hard to get a pic of the wind gusts. As soon a you pull the trigger, the gust is done.

Who is blowing smoke rings?

Wednesday.

Old Denis, the trained weather observer called these ones BFOs.

Big Fluffy Ones.

Yesterday it finally warmed up enough to start repairs on the ski-doo-bee-doo.

Lately the whiskey jacks come right to the kitchen window for breakfast.  You can see the wind blowing it's feathers.

The wind is really, really blowin' today. I have no idea how hard. My anemometer has been frozen for weeks.

Can we deport him???

For Jose.

From Jay.

                    GOD CREATED CANADA

On the sixth day, God turned to Archangel Gabriel and
said, "Today I am going to create a land called Canada .  It will be a land
of outstanding natural beauty.  It shall have tall majestic mountains full
of mountain goats and eagles, beautiful sparkling lakes bountiful with bass
and trout, forests full of elk and moose, high cliffs over-looking sandy
beaches with an abundance of sea life, and rivers stocked with salmon."
God continued, "I shall make the land rich in resources so
as to make the inhabitants prosper, I shall call these inhabitants
Canadians, and they shall be known as the most friendly people on the
earth."
"But Lord," asked Gabriel, "don't you think you are being
too generous to these Canadians??"
"Not really," replied God..  "Just wait and see the
winters I am going to give them!"

We never get tired of the sun sets.

Look at George, or, rather, look under him!

He might be on a diet, but, he doesn't have to like it.

Friday night and Saturday it stormed. You know that expression, "the wind doesn't blow, PEI sucks"? Aw, don't take it personal Spud, ya know it's true. If you were ever on a JLC course in CFB Summerside , in November, up to your "Y" joint in a swamp, you know, for a fact, that it's true. Any way, it snowed and blowed all night and half of the day. But, we did make tons of wind power. The batteries stayed in "the green" for over twenty four hours, with out generator assistance.

Snow blasted thru the screens.

Kitchen window.

The back door.

There were cool drifts everywhere.

Most of our walkways are at least waist high.

Makin' power.

Peanut butter for the birdies.

Chilli'n this mornin'.

Is it just me, or are the trees on the ice road shrinking?

Nope, no Pope here.

Our smoke wafting across the lake.

Sometimes I have terrible flash backs to working for the man, and I get all these nasty thoughts running thru my brain.

And then I look out over the lake, take a deep breath of fresh air, say "OM", and every thing is AOK.

Happy Birthday, Super Nova!

Here Nova is reading with little brother Floyd.  Yeah! I know! My genes at work!

Yer 8 years old now! How tall are ya? I didn't know that they could pile poop that high! Har, har, you always fall for that one, har, har har!

It's been pretty quiet since we last talked.  Shoveled out the stuck Bed Rock municipal plow truck Sunday night in the Narnia Forrest.

Wasted a sunny day by going to town on Monday, except we did drop in to visit the AKA Smiths. Jon is doing very, very well. He is off all his meds and is doing physio for a slightly gimpy leg.

Then 2 more days of sun and chilly temps.

Still cool @ almost 9 o'clock.

Partial sun dog.

Yes, we have some snow. Enough? Probably.

We snowshoed on the bypass. Not too much sled traffic, so far.

A nice little understated sun set.

Let's see, do I have any jokes for you today?

This one happens to me all the time.

This one, too.

This isn't funny, just embarrassing.
