We've been busy, so, cut me some slack.

Opening day fishing with the Slates.

I was the only one to catch something. Yeah, the black flies and mosquitoes are out.

Big Luke and Bonehead tied up along side for awhile.

First snake of the year.

This grouse was dusting herself in the driveway.

Then she got her ruff in an updo, and left.

You know who, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Mary, Fred, and me.

Warming up the fryer.

The rest of the process is top secret.

The finished product.

Yesterday I went on a 4wheeling/fishing trip.

Unknown lake in the middle of I don't know where. Different scenery than Lil' T.

Black duck on Black Duck Creek.

You just can't get away from it.

Pat and Razor.

Only boated one little guy.

And that sez it all.

Today's funny.

This little fella would get onto the deck and jump up on the can that Grasshopper keeps her bird seed, until...

The lid was off! I thought of putting George in the can because the chippers tease him 'cause they know that he isn't fast enough to catch them, and they some times run right over him. But Grasshopper was home.

Real live in the wild bunny, Sis.

Follow the duck.

Out of focus landing.

"Purple"? finches.

I went quading with AKA Smith and Art.

Times are tough, even for the Bank of Little Tomiko.

We found this recently deceased Common Flicker.

It's the May 24 weekend, so, remember to party responsibly.

Happy Birthday
Michelle!

I ran out of baby pics, so I have to recycle.

While this guy, who usually hangs out under the bird feeder, was hanging out by the boat trailer.....

This guy WAS under the feeder.

He was not afraid of us taking his pic through the window and just laughed at us. I chased him off with a broom, hopefully he won't come back.

Then, this guy WAS under the feeder, doing his very best "you can't see me now" trick while ...

this sharp-shinned hawk was bopping around, 12 feet away.

And an early Happy Mother's day to all you Mothers out there.

No sunset last night.

We often leave the door to the deck open until bug season gets underway, which was yesterday, by the way. Over the years we have had many visitors on the deck, humming birds and assorted other birds, chipmunks, bumblebees, moths and butterflies, and once, a raccoon. Many of these I have had to show them the door. But on Monday we had our first visit from a sharp-shinned hawk. Say that fast three times. Any way, he found the door by himself.

The hard to photograph Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Pine siskin.

Pine siskin shaking off the rain, blow up the pic.

This little fellow, a "purple" finch, (I told you that birders are colour blind!), hit a window hard enough that he left lots of DNA on the glass. So I Dr. Frankensteined him and in about an hour he flew away.

This is the best Humming bird pic, so far.

Mr Kent's and Mr. Harper's excuse?
