We have had 40 days and 40 nights of rain during the past week. The lake is full and the river overflowed the Notman road on Friday. Everything seems to be flowing OK now. Good thing that I have been cleaning out the culvert at the river all summer.

We had a Bald Eagle soaring over our property one windy day. It seemed to be more interested in something down around the beach, but the wind kept blowing him here.

We did have sun one afternoon and took some colour shots. I think that we are pretty much in the peak of colours with just a bit of green left.

So, things have been a little quiet around here lately, but, can you imagine how boring it must be in the NWT or in the Land that Time Forgot that you can't find anything to blog about for months on end?

Yes Sis, George does eat the rabbits from the inside out when he is in the mood for sushi but sometimes he has a hankering for southern fried.

That's it for now, remember that you can leave comments and or questions.

I have finally recovered enough from the Thibeault girls visit to do a post. They MUST have brought up a bug with them.

We have had tons of geese flying over the past week.

Some times the colours don't come out when you re-size photos.

Faster than a speeding rat dog.

YEAH, nothing like a good stretch before supper.

Thibeault girls. Brenda, Denis, Doris, Jackie, Nancy, Janis, and Grasshopper too.

You MIGHT see a trend in the next couple of pics.

TT came down later. Even though the odds were eight of them and one of me, I think everybody went home satisfied, because the girls cooked an awesome turkey supper with all the trimmings.

Sir Edwin and Dave came by for a visit yesterday.

We have had frost the past couple of mornings causing thick fog over the lake.

Happy 9th Birthday

Super K-man!

WOW! It seems like just a year ago that you were only eight! How times fly when you are having fun!

The leaves are starting to turn already. It's hard to believe that summer is over. As far as summers go, this was a pretty good one. Not too many bugs and a lot less rain than the past two years and not too many heat waves. Now we are into my favorite season, fall, to be quickly followed by my second favorite season, snow.

Random pics from the past couple of weeks.

We had another great dinner with Jose and Ed. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Shaw MD, TT, and Big Bryan. June did not attend this time. Due to the weather, I didn't take my camera and my cub reporter forgot to take any pictures. I'll adjust her pay accordingly.

You can stop reading now if you have a weak stomach or a moral objection to your cat contributing to the supper menu.

GOOD BOY GEORGE!
