Yesterday I had "drive in" visitors! That doesn't happen very often. Usually the first thing they say is a goat wouldn't use that road, where I point at my old goat, followed by "Can I use your bathroom?"  Grasshopper misses all the fun.

Doe Lake Randy and Jose.

The center @ 7:30 am.

Today's funny.

Yesterday, finally some solar power.

This morning, first ice, on this side of the lake anyway.

I think that we'll be nice to the old boat and yank 'er out when Grasshopper comes home.

It didn't take much to break the ice.

Last evening I drove around to the Fowler Estate for supper. I get looked after pretty well when Grasshopper goes away.

Today's funny.

Today's NOT funny, and it wasn't even George!

While the Cath is away...

Grasshopper is in the "land that time forgot to celebrate" Johnny Patron's 40th birthday.

We had a visitor Thursday morning.

It wandered around the yard, stopping to smell George's "presents".

The Whisky Jacks are looking for breakfast while I'm in my ninja photographer mode.

The fox finally detects my faint ninja heartbeat....

and scrams.

Snow showers coming our way.

Prey foot prints.

Predator foot prints.

Dry dock any day now.

You gotta admit that it's beautiful Jose, really it is. Now just repeat it until April.

Sun rise this morning.

After dropping Grasshopper off at the airport I stopped by Camp full of it for happy hoursss with Big Luke and his posse, Lee and that Oscar Mayer dude.

Happy 4th Birthday

Princess Athena!

(Shown here with her fiance , Bodhi-man.)

We had a dusting of snow last Saturday morning. Yeah, I know it's not as much as brother Tim had in Fort Simpson NWT, and I have snow envy. (Who wouldn't want another six inches?) But, since Tim doesn't blog very often, and for some reason the traffic cameras are down, who knows how much snow he really has?

Welcome to Grasshopper's Ruffed Grouse Sanctuary. We always have one, Mrs. Henny Penny, and sometimes two. But this morning we had three! Grasshopper missed this as she went on a road trip with TT to the Big Nickle.

Latter on in the afternoon we had four. Luckily, Grasshopper came home in time to see them all.

We have had so much wind and rain over the past month. You might say "Frank, how much rain have you had the past month?" I would have to say that I lost count, at least ten to twelve inches. We had so much rain that I had to dig out the old Sou'wester hat.

Did you really think that you would miss a sunset shot?

Hor'dourves at the AKA Smith's.

How many women does it take not to make gravy? Too many cooks?

A basket of Frank's buns.

A plate of Jim's buns, whole wheat ??? is that allowed?

Staying as far away from the kitchen as possible. L to R, Jon, Moe, Larry, Me, and Fred.

I think it's done!

Yorkshire puddings are done, too!

Carve it up.

Chowing down, Colette, Jim, Jon, Mary-Lou,  Helen, Larry, Fred behind Grasshopper, and Mary.

Apéritif, creme de menthe.

Aprés Apéritif. zzzzz

Then it was on to the Fowler's for a turkey dinner. NO! Not the same night, the NEXT night. In attendance were, Jose, and Edwin, Me and Grasshopper, and Razor and TT. My camera fogged up, so not too many pics.

Got a pic of the dessert, though.

We had a pretty wild storm last night and in to today. Very high winds, rain, sleet, some hail too.

It must be autumn, the Maple Leafs are falling! .har, har, har.

GpF and/or UF says,

And change your alarm batteries!

Just misc pics.

nIce looking!

Sunrise for a change.

Observant observers will notice that the USS. Kathleen has been taken to dry dock already.

Jacks waiting for breakfast.

I'm dreaming of a white...

Happy hour with the AKA Smiths last evening and the Pickerel Queen dropped by with Ron2.

Hey Whitey, long time no see. I did not realize that you could count.
