We have a wery, wery bad cold, caught from some tourist, (read terrorist) , visiting the center with their germ warfare.

Of course, we couldn't have an ordinary cold. Worst in 10 years.

Yup, a selfie.

Couldn't hurt to give it a "shot", right?

Birds.

The other day while on the dock, I saw the Merganser family coming towards us. I got the camera and hid behind the big rock on our beach. They were only 5 feet away, at first.

See the one on the left, looking at me?

Mrs. Henny Penny comes around every morning. You can tell that her ruff had been damaged a few years ago.

Lots of geese going south.

Our boy Lenny hasn't been around for a while so we went looking for him. We found him and his Mom down at the pointy end. He put on quite a show. Mom wasn't worried about us at all. We haven't seen Pops lately??? That's the old Evilrude chugging in the background.

Don't get sea sick. It's hard to be steady on zoom and auto focus.

Happy Birthday Rachel!

No, not this one Rachel Brown.

This one. Rachel Slote-Brown.  I don't know if she can sing, but she is an aspiring writer, knitter and quilter, and, she is also a Super Mom to three of the six cutest, smartest Super kids in the whole world.

Pics from the past couple of days.  It cleared up Monday evening.

The whiskey jacks are regular callers, now.

This miserable looking creature is this years baby. It rained all day yesterday and he appears to be molting. He doesn't come to hand yet, but he will tap on the window for his treats.

The fog had mostly dissipated by the time I brushed my teeth, fed George, and made Grasshopper's coffee.

It's too nice of a day to look for jokes for you.

Not much going on. It's been almost too quiet lately.  So, I'll just empty the cameras and see what we have seen.

This one is for Linda and Sharon. Do you remember "Naked" man? He camped in behind the islands for a couple of days and fished a lot.

Last Wednesday I'm lookin' out the window and see a "merganser" fishing around the dock. I didn't think much of it except that there was only one duck and the family group is usually 11. Later I saw the duck with a loon and realized that it was really Lenny. He is now almost fully grown and is starting to get the "loonie" markings. The pics are not great because I had to use max zoom.

Can you imagine waking up every morning and having to look at this view?

Somebody has it's cheeks full of stolen bird seed.

Can you see the huge flock of geese? They have been frantically flying high and fast. Is that a sign?

Here's a little bit better pic of Lenny.

We haven't seen the Lil' Jo out much this year.

Last evening...

while the skies were clearing...

We got double rainbows. Quadruple, if you count the reflections in the lake.

 See?

Full on zoom.

Look who's been coming to the drive thru window every night at dinner time.

Ahem!

The arrows that you see on the window ledge are just some that I've found while wandering around.

Peek-a-boo.

+2C this morning.

Fog.

The tiniest bit of frost on the garage roof, but we'll take it.
