The shore line this morning.

We went to town yesterday afternoon. We didn't have too many stops to make, so we took a tour of the waterfront. A choppy day on Lake Nippising.

Kita, the tour guide, leads Grasshopper on the Government dock.

The old Chief Commanda, which has been turned into a restaurant.

We went for a bird walk this morning, got one more, and took some pics of the fall colours.

Been keeping a low profile the past few days. Thursday the computer died, thanks, Bill Gates. It took me all day Friday to get it back, with no thanks to the exspurts (ex = past tense and spurt = a drip under pressure) at Nastypuke. Yesterday, Grasshopper, Linda and Sharon went on the Country Roads Artisan Tour. I stayed home and made bread and then visited with TPD and Cindy.

Richie #2, I thought #2 tried harder? Your cell phone is #2, too, right behind Festering Boil's phone. I think Kelly misses my buns!

Monday evening.

Today we took a trip down the river. It was really windy and it turned the Lilly pads upside down.

Fall colours over the beaver dam.

Pretty quiet here, just collecting fire wood and Grasshopper is making lots of kindling.

Richie #2, I don't hear from you for two years, except for huge emails that I delete, (dial up you know), and you show up like recurring hemorrhoids. P.S. say HI to Kelly for me.

JT, yup, if those lenses were turned around, you could probably burn a hole right through the earth.

Sun set pics from Friday evening.

It cleared up last evening.

We had our first frost last night, YAHOO!, BUT they are calling for highs of 20 plus degrees the next few days.

We've been collecting, splitting and stacking firewood the past few days. The cooler weather makes this a more pleasant task. I hope we get as much energy out of the wood as we are putting in.

Grasshopper, Linda and Sharon are having another girl's day in town. If this keeps up, I'll never have to go to town again!!!

JT, it's nice to see that some people at Nastypuke still use "back doors".

Hey Tim, if you are having trouble with your Internet at home, just use your employer's. (read above)

We've had very unsettled weather lately with wind, rain, and some sun.

Lots of colour showing up lately. It was 5C this AM.

Grasshopper and Linda went to town this morning for a girl's day. I think I can smell the plastic burning all the way out here. So far today I have emptied the composting toilet, changed the oil in the generator and made French bread. One loaf is for Linda.

Gee, you congratulate someone for twenty-five years of misery, (I feel your pain Cindy), and someone gets their spectacles all fogged up.

Hey J.T., I only had that blog up for twenty minutes, you are obviously under employed.

There are some disadvantages to living in the bush. One is that by the time that the Pony Express delivers the news papers, they are olds papers and you get the announcements late.

Happy Anniversary Kreskin and Cindy!

It's been quiet on the Tomiko lately. We had a bit of a wind storm on the weekend, so yesterday we walked the driveway and found that a gnarly yellow birch had fallen on the road, as they always do.(???) They could just as easily fall the other way.

Happy Birthday K-man! You are 6 years old already.

We went to Maxie Park last evening and sat by the camp fire with TPD and Cindy, the only brave souls out on a cool evening.

View from the Frasertown Marina.

Dr. Hermit found a recipe for beer bread and headed off to his secret lab to test the theory out.

It looked OK, but tasted like saw dust. I know Razor, a waste of a good beer. At least the blue jays and squirrels liked it.

On Sunday, the Tomiko Angels dropped by for a visit. Some wanted to be called The Motley Crew, but I think that the Mouldy Crew would be more fitting.

Yesterday we went to town. As we were getting into the truck a flock of geese was flying south. This huge flock was flying when we got back from town.

This little critter was hanging out near the garage.

Speaking of going to town, every place we went was busy. Don't any of you work? How am I going to collect my old age pension if none of you work and pay taxes?

I was thinking what a great time we had this past weekend when I realized that that was the last one for the summer and we haven't seen TTSK yet this year. It only took five months of nagging to get Richie to come. How long will it take to get you here,TTSK? You know, you can always leave Whitey home to dog sit.

The first couple of pic's are for Laura. She's not dizzy, but she can be foggy at times.

We had an Italian themed soiree at the Lube and Grill last evening. I didn't make my famous buns, instead I made French bread. Not too bad for the first try. But I did forget to take a picture.

Some of the crew waiting to be fed.

The master chicken leg fryer was the center of attention. Really, it's the only reason that we invite him.

Bk tries some extra hot Italian salami.

The buffet table gets attacked.

Good eats!

A perfect ending to a perfect day.
