Monday was a nice, sunny day and I was supposed to go to Rob's place, but somebody with a bullet and a backhoe wanted a hand putting on a steel roof, so, he won.

It rained on Tuesday so I didn't get to Rob's until Wednesday. Here is a brand new super duper turbo solar charger. I'll go back today with some tie straps to neaten up the wiring.

P.S. I forgot to mention that Big Luc and his travelling band of citiots were here for a few days last week. No one lost a wheel or a limb so all was good, except for the 4 days of rain that they brought with them. The sun came out as soon as they were gone..
Warning! If you don't like George's contributions to this blog, then do not look at picture # 14.

I found a dead male humming bird. I don't think this was a George contribution.

Grasshopper came home last Wednesday and brought lobsters with her. They decided on a cool dip before supper.

On Sunday we celebrated June's birthday at the Fowler Estate. I made a loaf of bread.

The spread, NO ONE goes home hungry!

Some feasted inside...

and some outside. That is birthday girl Jurisah on the left.

Who is sitting on His Lordship's throne!

The ride home.

The end of another awesome day on Little Tomiko.

Now would be the time to look away if you are a little bit queasy.

George is getting a little bit too fussy with his food lately and only eating the loins.

I went fishing with Mr. and Mrs. Slate last evening on an unnamed lake. Dan caught the biggest fish of the night.

I have NO comment for this pic. Well, I do, but only a comment that would get me in trouble.

I had to mow again today until the mower/stump grinder blew up and spit out some shrapnel. No Grandpas were hurt during this incident.

No problem-mo though, a little gun tape, a little parachute cord and some artful (if I must say so myself) Frankensteining, and we were good to go.

A large flock of geese flew over like they were late for the party.

Some more flowers that the mower missed.

So, bachelor life has been OK, with neighbors feeding me suppers, giving me left overs and generally checking up on me. BUT, no offers to wash my underwear! So I managed to get the washer going and even figured out the solar dryer.

The PC computer has been really acting up, so you'll get them before I lose it.

Another very calm morning. Yesterday was too hot at 31c. I think that we will take off about 20 degrees and send the last 10 degrees to the moist coast.

I went to the Fowler Estate for dinner last evening and had the best ever onion rings.

And the best angel cup cakes. I even got to bring 4 home.

OOOPS, just recovered from another "blue screen of death"

Last night we had a full harvest moon in June. It was so orangie/yellow. I probably need a $2000 lens to do it justice.

This is what it looks like as the mosquitoes are chewing your wrists off.

The phone is fixed and the internet is back to warp speed.

Who ever thought that the black flies were done was premature. You do not want to be out side at dawn or dusk or you will fly with the mosquitoes.

I'm still here! Still no phone, some sad story about a northern telephone repair man, a dog sled, and a trapper's daughter. Maybe tomorrow. Down to cooking for myself as the KFC is all gone. I did go for happy hour, cards and supper with the Smiths and Baileys on the weekend. Tomorrow it's off to the Fowler Estate for supper.

Until very late yesterday, this was the only sun we have had for a while, just a hint on the tree tops over Bedrock.

Sun set last evening.

Very calm this morning.

Pics so that Grasshopper knows that I haven't mowed down her gardens.
