Saturday we had our annual January thaw. It seems a little early this year. Personally, I like January thaws in April.

Big wet spots.

Yuck.

It didn't really come out, but, the jacks were pretty disgusted with the wind and rain.

This morning started off promising, but went down hill from here.

As far as January thaws go, this one wasn't too bad. We still have lots of snow, about 2 feet in the bush. Our ice road is still good. This morning I 2-uped Grasshopper to Bed Rock so she could go to Fraser-village to dog sit a couple of days.

Air hole near the shore.

Ski pole right to the sand.

There is about 6 inches of snow, a couple inches of ice, 4 or 5 inches of water, and another 6 inches of ice.

I see by my sister's Facebook that the land that time forgot has had their biweekly thaw. If you ever spent time in N.S. in the winter you would know that you get BIG dumps of snow, and when you finally finish shoveling your driveway, it all melts.

Time for some jokes? OK.

This one is for Floyd.

What does a Torontonian tunnel maker look like in the day light, oh, and at -35?

Frosty.

Right, Razor?

This next bunch were a gift from Jacquenette.

I like this one, 'cause I HATE mowin'.

That's it for today. Gotta figure out how no Grasshopper and no KFC happened at the same time???
