I 'm being distracted by a beautiful sun set. It was overcast most of the day but cleared up around 3 PM. We have to sift thru another 99 pics. I meant to do a blog earlier in the week, but stuff got in the way.

Gray Cup Sunday.  Tried out our new pizza paddle. Works great! Thanks Syzs!

Hamilton kept shooting themselves in the foot. Bonehead and Scarrie Carrie were @ the game, but, you didn't see them 'cause he kept his hat on. Har, har

Last Monday was a nice day.

Sun light coming thru Wolf's Bay.

We had one, lone grackle show up and it's still here. Looks a little cranky, not a morning person, I guess.

A frosting of snow on cracks in the lake.

It got windy in the afternoon, creating snow devils.

A crack from our boat ramp right thru to Fennel's Bay.

G'nite.

Tuesday started out OK, but clouded over later in the morning.

We walked around the shore to Wolf's Bay. Bergy bits washed op on the rocks.

Cracks all over.

That white bit in the trees is our roof.

Bergy bits frozen in clear ice. Kinda looks like that jello and fruit stuff.

When I took this pic I saw a circular, op art kind of pattern that didn't quite come out.

Wednesday. 8AM @ the fly thru.

I heard this creaking, grinding noise and found out that the ice was moving and tearing the legs off of the part of the dock that stays in the lake. I chopped around the legs, but this didn't help. much. Bent the steel legs like spaghetti.

For a while I thought that the whole dock might fall in, so we brought that aluminum part up on shore.

Thursday, we had a couple inches of snow, so we decided to go to town. We have to go 11.6 kilometers to Bedrock, where we leave the old goat for the winter.

Empty jerry cans, propane tank and trash for the land fill.

On the way home, this spruce grouse posed for us.

Friday.

Our driveway is in pretty good shape.

Going to town yesterday we found out that there wasn't really enough snow for the carbides. So we left the heavy stuff @ Bedrock and I took the Arctic Cat and brought back the gas and propane.

This morning, little critter tracks on the lake.

And bigger tracks on the little ones.

While the goin' is good we brought back some more beaver wood.

My eyes are bleary now, so you only get a couple of jokes.

Cool. I've never seen a Spruce Grouse myself. Nice looking bird.
