First of all I would like to thank all of my loyal peeps who have protested, marched, cajoled, and or blackmailed the dictator, also known as the Colonel. Due to your faithful devotion, we, the people, now have our wings back. POWER to the people.

I was too busy eating to take a pic when the plate was full.

Soooooo good!

OK, now on to the update. I know, it's all boring after that opening.

Last Saturday we decided to have baked beans and Brown bread for supper.

Tried a new, one rise, recipe.

We normally go for molasses beans, but this time we used a maple syrup/tomato recipe.

They simmered all day on the wood stove in Shirley's bean/tobacco crock. (It's a Campbell family joke)

Risen, ready for the oven.

The recipe is a keeper.

Nom, nom, nom.

Sunday morning. Cool and crisp after a fresh snow fall.

I got a shift on the Frasertown road crew. The first time plowing the whole Sand Dam road. Lookin' up at Ben's pond hill.

I think I'll down shift for this hill.

The causeway at Indian lake.

The wet side.

The snow is starting to add up.

Grasshopper's sled, she's likin' it.

Sun set shadows.

Monday morning was cool, -30 I think. Whiskey jack all puffed up.

Waiting for the sun.

We all were.

Tuesday morning. The sun shining off of the Swanell's sauna chimney.

Wednesday morning. All week has been like this. Crisp in the morning, and sunny and warmish in the afternoon.

That afternoon we decided to break trail on the Road to Riches.

Here comes Kat.

And there's Cat.

No one has been to church for a while.

Richie's road. That's a big hill, too.

The bunnies have been busy on No Show Richie's property trimming hedges, 'cause no one else will. All of those little dark spots are bunny raisins.

Three grouse for breakfast this morning. "They" are calling for 10 to 15 cms of snow today. You can see that it has started coming down.

Who YOU lookin' at?

These jokes came from my brother, just to show you that I'm not that unique, it's a family thing.

Yum - those beans and brown bread look delish! And kudos on the star bread - that looks devine!
