Not much happening. The ice last Sunday. We have had a few nights down to a comfortable -10, which is keeping the ice around. I tried to tape the noise that the ice makes as it slowly dies, but it didn't come across on the camera. It snaps, whines, cries and hisses as it expires.

My old friend Dennis, a weather observer, called this type of cloud a BFO. Big fluffy one.

On Tuesday you could still see the ice road.

Rain over night. There is open water at Bill's point, in the narrows and Fennel's Bay.

You can just make out sled tracks around the point into Wolf's Bay.

And towards the Don Fraser Bypass.

The boat is all ready to go.

Not quite yet.
