We went down the river yesterday and saw a pair of Bald Eagles. They are a little camera shy.
They were fishing for spawning suckers. The dam is in good shape and still draining nicely. The lake level has dropped close to three inches the past week.
One of the Grosbeaks likes to get his picture taken.

I am thinking (ouch) that Mr. Grosbeak would make an accomadating Centre Fold in the Calendar that Richie is going to pose for. Mr. GB so loves to pose and is not camera shy. Let's see...There is Richie, Swami and Mr. Grosbeak. 3 down and 9 more to go! Who else to ask???
if it had gotten a little colder it might have helped with the bugs.
2yrs ago we had a good freeze in june well after the hatch, and it was almost bug free that year.
