Another thunderstorm yesterday. That mad rush you heard was the Little Tomiko solar users running to turn off their inverters, which have a habit of blowing up in an electrical storm.

Hail.

Water beaten to a white, frothy foam.

Welcome home Razor, hope you enjoyed the fire works.

I'm back. There a a couple of reasons for not posting regularly lately. I'm still busy. Here, around the lake, and cleaning culverts on the Notman road. Not too many silly people doing silly things but that could change tomorrow when someone returns from Chile. Oh, there was the case of camp lot-a-bull's the no wheel 4wheeler, but I didn't actually witness that escapade.

We felt the earthquake here. A little rattling, shaking and swaying. Just enough to say "!@#$" ?

Grasshopper is in town yard saleing today. This time she isn't buying, she is "manning" the tables for the Queen of London who is down-sizing some stuff.

Speaking of royalty, Sir Edwin, master of all he surveys, is back home recuperating and doing very well.

A-frame shingled and painted.

New deck and stairs. We'll stain them next year after the pressure treated wood has aged a bit.

We bought a new stove. It is wider than the old one, so the knee wall had to go and the wall patched. The floor had to be leveled and the flooring patched up.

Now we'll have to paint?

This could be a record year for blueberries on our property.

Some are trying to ripen already. Isn't this usually a July/August thing? Everything seems really early this year.

We had a couple of storms the past week. This one came roaring in with lots of flash bangs and wind and about an inch of rain. Then we had a quieter one that dropped 1.5 inches of rain in a few hours that caused some erosion.

Momma and babies. I'll try to get a pic of George trying to figure out how to catch a duck. He sits on the ramp or a rock and watches them go by.

I know that it has been awhile since I've posted. But I've been too busy. We had a really nice sunset the other day, but I was too busy to take a pic. We also had a nice sun rise, but I was too busy. You should have seen the thousands of geese that flew over the past week or so, but I was TOO BUSY!

Also, since we have the high speed high speed, I barely get a chance on the computer because a certain someone has turned into a main line down loader like a crackberry addict.

OK, here are a few pics.

Can you see the bunny?

How about now?

I couldn't get Grasshopper to do the shingling for me, but she was willing to do the painting.

A female merganser beside the dock. Actually some ducks have had babies about a week ago, BUT I WAS TOO BUSY TO TAKE A PIC.

If you squint, you can see baby bass that hatched last week.

The other day Kita caught a baby bunny. He was "right some proud" as they say in the land the land that time forgot. Pretty good for a 15.5 year old.

OK, now that you have the bunny, where do you hide it? AH in grasshopper's garden!

Loon at the dock.

Last Friday we got to spend the afternoon with the Brown Super kids. Calliope with a smile to brighten up the day.

Super Nova with a hockey smile.

Super dog sitters making sure that Kita doesn't escape again.

Kita had his 500,000 mile checkup yesterday and he is doing well for some one who is 108 human years old.

A big "GET WELL SOON" to his highness, Sir Edwin, the Lord of Little Tomiko who is recovering from bypass surgery in Sudbury.

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY

CALLIOPE!

You are too cute. Nice bling too.

I've been too busy lately to take pics or to post. I may have to go back to Nasty Puke for a rest, especially since they have found a cure for festering boils.

First off I would like to congratulate my brother Mike, and Kim, and hope that they had a great day yesterday and a bazillion more in the future.

Secondly I would like to apologize for the lack of blogs lately, but I've been too busy. It seems like one dock day afternoon after another. And water leaks over here and water leaks over there. And sometimes it's hard to fix a half assed Jam-bony with a proper Frankenstein. And the bugs are bad, all of them. Four more months 'till first frost.

Today it is overcast, but the past couple of weeks have looked just like this. We really could use some rain.

The pilot guiding us thru the narrows.

I've been so busy that I haven't finished shingling the A frame yet. I've been staying awake at nights trying to figure out how Grasshopper can shingle over the bump outs. The roof is too steep to stand on and too wide to reach across from a ladder. I know that you can buy roof jacks, but when someone else is doing climbing, you can go on the cheap.

This ought to hold her?

And, I think that this fall restraint system should discourage all slips and falls.

Hey, I'm just kidding, I wouldn't make Grasshopper do that! I'll pay her. minimum wage.

Happy Birthday Squeegy!

I believe that it is not proper to disclose a lady's age, but that dress looks very Victorian.

As you know, Grasshopper was in the land that time forgot. She was due home on Tuesday, but on Monday I was REALLLY missing her and got ready for her return.

She brought company for supper.

Lobster yoga.

Hey Gary, it must have been my birthday!

YUMMY

Saturday, May 08, 2010

This time it's not my fault!

The roof rake is still on the solar panels.

You can blame Pet Lamb. The last time I saw her she said that there would be one more good snow job, and she was right.

The wind is blowing the seeds off of the yellow birch trees.

I hope that you read this really fast 'cause we are finally on the Autobahn of the info high way. This is so fast that you will find out what's happening at Little Tomiko before I do. Whoohooo! Smokin'!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS

I know it's tomorrow, but I'll be running around town tomorrow.

Today, like Gene Kelly, I was "shingling in the rain".

OK, now it is time for some love advice for Mr. Flicker. I know that you only get "it" once a year, but if you scream your head off for ten hours and she doesn't respond, she's just not into you! It's time to move on, go to some other neck of the woods. Scream some where else. Some where that I'm not. Jeeesh, enough is enough.
