I'm gonna make you work for it today.

April 22.

Morning walk about.

Dark eyed junco, white throated sparrow, purple finch.

Lit up by the sun set.

April 23.

Here comes the milk man. Don't you get milk delivery?

And his wing man.

April 24.

A grackle with a white feather on it's wing.

We drove our quads around to Bedrock. Still lots of good ice here.

Home.

Open water in the narrows.

A little wash out near camp full of it.

Lookin' good here.

And here.

We noticed something on the lake. It's Dan and Judy's picnic table. How did it get there?

The beavers have been doing some brush clearing on Tracy's lane.

The double beaver dam is FULL.

AOK here.

 But, there's the table.

Who needs cell phone coverage when you have a pay phone?

The widow maker on the road to riches finally fell so we decided to clean it up and go for a visit to the Estate.

The church.

Welcoming party.

The ice here is way out, probably due to the inflow from Indian lake.

Not too much change with our ice when we came home.

April 25.

Tons of geese flew over all day long.

Lots of open water in the morning so we decided to put the dock in.

The dock went in easy-peasy.

Then the wind changed and the ice came back at us.

It was just heavy slush but it could pile up so we kept the legs clear.

The lake is so low, about 10 inches, that I had to extend the ramp to push the boat in with a quad.

At this time of year the water level is usually at the bottom rung on the dock.

There will be no diving off of the dock.

We went to check out the docks but we could not go past Bill's point. The ice was jammed up all the way to the pointy end.

The narrows.

Still some ice flows on Tomiko pond.

Mork and Mindy were in.

There is Jennell and Dill.

Frasertown.

We tried to smash in to the Bedrock dock but couldn't make it.

April 26.

Foggy.

What's that coming thru the fog?

I think it's a

a

a loon! Welcome back buddy.

Somebody has a mess to clean up.

Still some snow in the bush.

I heard a ruffed grouse drumming, and I found him.

Here are a couple of videos. The camera didn't pick up the sound of the drumming. They are shaky, but, you try doing a combat crawl thru the wet bush, trying not to flush the bird.

Grouse video.

Another video.

We couldn't get into this dock either.

We found the picnic table almost at the pointy end.

Geese looking for a place to land.

And now we're done.
