Yer just gonna get the high points in this update.

2 days after this pic was taken we had an inch of rain in the morning. I checked the little fellas and they were OK. 2 days after that they were gone. There was no damage to the nest, so, maybe Momma moved them?

6 Sept, somebody taking a well deserved break, I would say.

Back on the 10th Jose hosted a birthday dinner for Sir Kenneth of Leeds.

Tons of peeps.

Tons of food.

Dale marches in the birthday boy.

It's not a hanging, Ken.

Tons of desserts.

Ken entertains the crowd.

Time to go home.

The fall colours really started popping around the 13th.

Raccoon prints in the fire pit.

We saw a Maserati in North Bay.
.

The eagle flying in formation with our boat.

OK, so, I have been waiting all summer to put on a metal roof. I wanted to jack and level the cabin before the roof went on, but it rained all summer. Never drying up enough to crawl around in the dirt with jacks. The weather improved by the middle of September so I went to work.

Grasshopper painted the skirting.

Then the grey water system for the kitchen plugged up and that took a few days to fix.

Then I started shimming and levelling the roof.

And then 5 days of record heat. !!!

I usually don't swim on the 21st of September, but I was in the lake multiple times every day.

Matt came by and started shimming one side while I finished the other side.

Joseph put on the drip edge.

One of Nova's jobs was fetching the roofing.

Man, it was HOT.

Finally the first sheet goes on.

Bonehead finishing up the shimming.

Moving right along.

The back side almost done.

Sunday morning, one side to go.

Monday morning. Ridge vent done. Then it started raining before I could start the pipe flashings.

All done except for a few finishing details.
