This might be another long post.

First off, some pics from Jose. Eagles attacking sea gulls. She has seen as many as six eagles at one time.

Last Tuesday.

Slush forming on our shore.

We walked out our driveway to check it out before Grasshopper's trip to town on Thursday.

We actually had some sun that afternoon.

Wednesday morning we woke up to a frozen lake.

That afternoon, after a snow flurry, we checked out the ice.

OK, it's officially slush season. Too hard for a boat, too soft for a sled.

Thursday morning. After a small dumping of snow over night, Cat and Kat go to town, and break the Old Goat, again.

Friday morning, sun rise thru Wolf's Bay.

No American degrees.

Almost up to my knees.

Ski-Doo-Bee-Doo and sleigh tracks after picking Grasshopper up at Bedrock. Thanks to Steph for lending her Yukon so the girls could get home.

The weather was calling for warm temps and rain, so I blew snow so that we don't get those frozen holes that break legs. That afternoon we sledded around the lake to Bedrock, took Steph's truck back and brought the Old Goat to her winter parking spot @ Bedrock. Grasshopper likes her new sled, but finds the throttle a little stiff.

Saturday, a little warmer.

Two, count 'em two Ski Doo tracks.

Sunday morning, YUCK!

George, he looks very determined.

 Hairy woodpecker.

The warm temps brought out some bugs.

The beavers are still active. Here they are after a cedar tree. I have heard that they only go after cedars when there is nothing else to eat, or if they are sick???

Foggy walk that afternoon.

This morning. Hot and wet.

Ski Doo tracks are almost gone.

Whimper.

Sigh.

Alas.

The beavers took this tree down in one night. It's about a twelve incher.

Obstruction an the Don Fraser bypass.

The driveway. So, we are not stuck here. The Arctic Cat with wheels is put away, but not completely winterized yet, and is ready to go. The Transformer is ready to go, and, if we get the snow that they are promising, we'll have the snow machines on the road by the weekend.

I wish that I could sleep.

Sad, not funny. Maybe if Harper and his cronies had to fly in the old planes or got to sea in the old ships, things would move along a little faster.

Now, that's funny.

Sorry Rachel, too soon?

A truism.

Har, har, get it?
