It's raining, so you get an update.
Back on the 22 March we had a visitor.
Fresh snow on the 24th.
On the 27th, Grasshopper noticed this little feller. I think that it's the work of a Northern Shrike. Check out it's behaviour here. It was gone the next day.
On the 28th we went to town to get some lumber and propane.
The lake was wet by the time we came home.
Bye, bye snow.
Started buckin' and splittin' on the 29th.
We have had 4 masked bandits, with their beady little eyes, coming to the feeder some evenings.
April fool's morning.
Yesterday the tree line came out.
Last one.
The snow ramp is pretty much done.
It'll take a while to get used to not see the trees.
We have had a half inch of rain so far and another half inch is expected. Kat and Cat went to town today. There is still about a foot of ice left, in most places. The narrows is wide open. Tomorrow we will stop using the lake. Sniff, sniff. Yer on yer own 'till the boat is in. TTFN
