5th April.

The ice pulling away from shore.

We had a bunch of visitors on sleds, side x sides and quads yesterday. We forgot to take pics. Divots in the slush.

The road to Bedrock.

The buoy marking the water pump was free floating.

Slushy off the trail.

The trail was still pretty good in most spots.

Looking down the driveway.

I usually wait until the last minute to put the sleds away and they are normally dirty from the lack of snow. This year we put them away early, nice and clean. They are only napping right now, just in case we need them. I'll put them to sleep when the trails are passable by 4wheelers.

6th April.

 Snow, wind and ravens.

The wind was viscous. A few degrees colder and we would have had the best snow storm of the year.

7th April.

Still blowin' and snowin' in the morning.

The other side of the lake.

Red wing in the feeder.

It cleared up late in the afternoon.

Moonscape on the ice.

8th April.

Roof cam.

A big, damp looking spot off of Bill's point.

Evening grosbeaks.

 10th April.

Pulling away a little more every day.

The Don Fraser bypass off ramp.

Still lots of snow in the bush.

Our gate.

Not much snow on the snow ramp.

Lots of snow on the dark side of the lake.

Not quite 4 and 20.

A lot less snow on the sunny side of the lake.

Grouse from Mr. Slates Ipad. We haven't seen any grouse here for weeks, and we haven't seen Mrs. Penny since early December.

Moose on the Sand Dam road taken by Steph.

We have a whole bunch of birds passing thru here. Pine siskins, tree sparrows, juncos, song sparrows, grackles, red wings, grosbeaks, robins. The hummers have started their migration. You can track them HERE
