This is about as bright as it got today. Hey, the weather! Another .3 inches of rain the past 24 hours.


Yesterday afternoon I went into the lake to bury the water line in the sand. (Yeah, I know, August would have been better). I got a little damp and chilled so I had a small fire. Kita kept me awake all night panting and whining that it was too hot. This cabin is so well insulated that all you really need this time of year is a good burp from the other end.

I was reading the newspaper the other day and the reporter said that someone was picking the lock on his garage and going in and making a mess. I have to report that I have the same problem. It took me 4 hours to clean up his mess today.
