Alive and still kickin' while on my own. Actually my neighbours have been feeding me pretty good. Turkey dinner, stuffed chicken thighs, steak dinner, Moroccan chicken. There is still a bag of frozen KFC hot wings in the freezer as a back up plan.
Mrs. and her chicks are still coming to be fed.
Mrs. is molting and has lost her tail.
Probably a female.
Male?
September 1st, first geese going south. Early this year. At least 3 flocks that morning. Have they been reading the Farmer's Almanac?
The sun is slowly moving to the south so we are starting to see the sun sets.
Saturday morning was 7.3C. Friday was actually 6C.
Fog at the beach.
It was a very good year for the mergansers with flocks of 17 to 20 chicks. But no baby loons on Lil' Tomiko this year.
Sunday morning pea soup.
It didn't take long to clear up to a nice day,
but there was still lots of fog on the round end.
We had the annual meeting of the Tomiko Conservation Association at the landing.
Mr. Big came by this morning.
I call this one "Yellow Flower".
