The cocoon.
She is a Cecropia moth, pronounced as SEKROPIA, of the Saturniidae family, or giant silk moth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyalophora_cecropia
Ain't she sweet?
We had a heck of a time trying to place her. She would crawl or fall to an unsafe place.
We finally found out that she wanted to hang backwards to let gravity help her wings open up.
She's happy now.

It's like watching your kid take their first step.
I checked up on her before going to bed, and there they were, parked at the curb, k-i-s-s-i-n-g up a storm.
Saturday morning.
What a beauty! What is she trying to hide?
Ohooo.
They were at it allll daaay looong! must be that trantric thing I heard about.
Well, you don't get to see it in real life, but this is the next best thing.
Last evening we went to the estate for a birthday dinner for Jomei, I'll blog that later. The kids were still at it when we came home, but were gone this morning. Kids, they grow up so fast, it just seems like .....
