An early sign of fall? The Whiskey Jacks are back looking for breakfast.




We found a dead bird, a Magnolia Warbler we think, and offered it to one of our snakes. Before you could say, "holy crap wheres my camera?" it started to swallow the bird and drag it under the cabin.







The Humming Birds kept on feeding while Grasshopper painted the screens on the deck. That's her hat in the bottom of the pic. Another sign of fall? The Humming Birds have been VERY active and we have more than 10 now, but no males.



More dock bass. There is nothing more fun than catching Smallies with top water baits, as Super fisher girl Calliope will tell you.
