Merry Christmas Eve.

We had our Christmas dinner at The Estate on Sunday, but, I forgot my camera! Yeah! I know! It's the slippery slope from sometimers to allthetimers.

Not the best pic, but George has taken to napping right back in behind the wood stove.

Yesterday we dropped by Bed Rock to spread some Christmas cheer. Here the rink rats are clearing the municipal arena.

Steph and Shala with the livestock.

Fennell's bay.

Bill's Point as seen from Bed Rock.

Looking back on the ice road.

Just a very light dusting of fresh snow to clean things up this morning.

One.

Two, Three.

Double dipping.

Mrs. Henny Penny, too.

Now it's time for some Christmas humour.

Late breaking news, Pics from Sunday's dinner compliments of Jose's facebook. No pics of peeps, but Bryan, Ed, Jose, TT, me, Grasshopper and Jaakkina were there.

Le tableau.

Too cute.

Parisienne potatoes.

Beautiful pork roast. There was turkey to, of course.

Frank's apple/cinnamon buns. I tried for a festive red and green icing, but, it kinda came out looking like camo.

Tick tock, tick tock, man, was it just me or did yesterday seem to last for-e-v-e-r ? Har, har.

Anyways, Merry Tib's Eve! What? Never heard of it? Well, get educated here.

Please tel me about Tib's Eve, Santa.

Pretty quiet the past few days.

What's missing from this picture? Yesterday we took the old goat to it's winter parking spot at Bed Rock. Don't they have winter parking restrictions where you live?

Early bird gets the kibble?

We had a couple of clear, ice making days.

Fallen angel.

This tree marks the water pump. You should stay away from this spot 'cause I pump air thru the water line.

We found this confusing set of tracks on the ice. Fox and some kind of bird. No blood, no fowl?
Har, har, har, ya see what I did there?

Yesterday was overcast with fluries.

What's on top of your tree?

This morning I took Grasshopper across to Bed Rock so that Cat and Kat and Louise could terrorize the Xmas shoppers in the Gateway city. Yeah, Timbob, they call it the gateway of the north! Don't laugh too hard about that one.

The lake is perfect for running with a sled. BUT, the OPP and snowmobile federation is recommending that you stay off the lakes, so I should recommend that too. Do as I say, etc. We walked thru Wolf's Bay to the round end and the swamp is just freezing up now. I would stay away from larger swamps for a little while yet.

This next item is a Public Service Announcement from Dr. Joseph.

This year promises to be a 'historic irruption year' for Snow Owls, being seen  ALL OVER THE PLACE. Keep your head up! Apparently they like wide open spaces, airports, and football stadiums.

Check this one out. Snow boarding crow.

This one is cool, too. Superman flies.

Funnies?

And one for Nova.

Happy Birthday SILy Anne!

Before they invented colour.

Wednesday we put in the tree line to mark the ice road to Bed Rock. This might be the earliest that the road went in. Somebody eating bon-bons and with time on their hands can look back in the archives and let the rest of us know for sure.

Sun going down that evening.

We took a day off on Thursday. This cloud bank moved in late in the day.

-22c Friday morning. Frost on the Whiskey Jacks.

eeny, meeny, miny, moe.

I'll take this one.

nom, nom, nom

I made whole wheat bread Friday.  Looks pretty good for "bird food" and it tasted even better.

Bed time Friday night, and it's still only fall!

I stole this one from Robert's bit strip and edited it for my own devices.

It had warmed up to -25c this morning.

Some more funnies, to me anyway, and it's my blog.

As I start this blog, yesterday, you know a tome wasn't written in a day, har har, my personal shopper is in town.

And a truism.
