So, you are probably wondering where I've been. Monday we went to town, Kitchener town, to visit the Bishop super kids. I got a speeding ticket on the way down, and a flat tire on the way back. It was very hot down there, into the 40's with the humidex figured in. Thursday morning we spent some time at the water park.

Kman

Ellia.

Lilly on the river.

Hey Richie, it's been so long since you have been here that squatters have moved in to your place. I tried to run them off, but I was kind of out numbered.

George spent three days at the spa while we were down south and got a trim while he was there. He is a little embarrassed, so don't tell him his pic is on the web. He would be as upset as someone in a wet suit.

Grasshopper brought back some lobsters from the land that time forgot.

Lobster yoga.

Lobster race.

This one almost got away.

We had Linda and the Kellys over for a lobster supper. Pretty snazzy table, no paper plates! But since I don't have any crackers, we had to use channel lock pliers to break the claws.

Fog yesterday morning.

A half hour later.

Five loons came by for a visit.

I spent the afternoon at Frasertown yesterday and stayed for supper. L to right, Rachel, Minky, Razor and TT. Finger lickin' good, eh TT?

Speaking of suppers, I haven't had to cook this week. Here's the week's menu:
Monday - KFC
Tuesday - KFC
Wednesday - KFC
Thursday - Yup, KFC
Friday - reheat five day old left overs
Saturday - Dine out at Razor's Lube and Grill
Sunday - diner at the Kelly's

Hey Bruce have fun in Africa. GG and I dropped by a couple of times but you weren't home We'll meet up when you get back.

Frankie, you didn't drop in.

Richie, when you worked for Edsel's grand kids, you were up here all the time. Now that you work for a jerk, you are never here. PS Razor has a two by four all sized up for the transplant.

Tim, your blog is so old, it's getting mouldy.

Bryan, you left your hat here, Lord knows you need it, I'll drop it off soon.

Came home yesterday to find a bag of books on the dock, I think I know who dropped them off, thanks mateys.

It sure is quiet on the Lil' Tomiko, I guess that's why we call her Gabby Grasshopper.

Here's a pic of Linda trolling the docks.

His Lordship, Admiral Ed dropped by yesterday with his new ship the HMS Mardan. 1st matey Bryan was also on board. I think the ship needs a new name, I kinda like "Jose's Worry". Send suggestions and I'll pass them on.... if I like them. My blog, my rules.

I mowed the raspberry canes yesterday and scared a snake. Scared it right out of it's skin! It was shedding and the skin was still wet. Scared me too, although I kept my skin on.

Kita is really into shedding now. I wonder where he slept last night?

Quiet on the Tomiko. I went for a float boat ride with BK yesterday afternoon. NO RAIN!

Kita at his normal pilot position.

We saw this Loon snorkeling.

See Y'all next month.

Took another trip down the river yesterday afternoon, in between thunderstorms.

White lily

Heron

The yellow lilies are just getting ready to open.

This morning I took Grasshopper and Linda to the airport for a vacation to the land that time forgot. On the way back, I spotted this spruce grouse along the road. It flushed before I could get a close up shot.

So, with Molly Maid gone, I have to cook for myself again. I see KFC tonight, and tomorrow, and the next day too.

Thursday was a stormy day with rainbows thrown in. I know, not as vivid as your rainbow pic, Tim.

Double bows.

Reflection off the patio door.

It cleared up that evening.

Yesterday was an OK day so we went to Frasertown and got some water. We vistited with BK for a while and also visited with Sir Edwin. Today it is raining and cool, again, so much for that hot dry summer that "THEY" were calling for.

Lightening pics from two nights ago.

It cleared up last evening.

It's raining and cool again today, not too much going on. I got a ladder from Mr. Slate to use on the dock. I've cleaned off the rust and painted it and it's ready to put in the water.

Well, here's your answer. It's a moth. It hatched(?) in a plastic container. Here, it's wings are like wet tissue paper.

It was too week to stand on it's own.

It seemed to like hanging upside down.

So I hung it on a stick so the wings would dry. A couple hours later, it was gone.

I put ketchup chips, left over from the superkids, on the bird feeder. This squirrel beat the birds to it.

Sunday night, an awesome thunder storm passed just south of us. Some times there were 3 or 4 lightening strikes per second. The storm lasted over an hour and a half. Grasshopper ran out of oohs and aahs.

Monday evening.

Today we went to town and got some groceries. We also bottled some of that flat beer that they make from grapes. What's up with that?

Critter day on the blog. A couple of days ago, this heron landed on the tallest cedar on the property. I've never seen one in a tree before.

He took off before I could get the sun light on him.

A momma merganser and her brood.

The escape.

OK all you insectologists out there, what is this, or what will it be? It has shiny, metallic looking feet and it's head moves like a bobble head doll.
