It was a dark and stormy night.

The temp was supposed to drop during the evening and over night. It was raining, so Kita and I kicked back and watched TV. Around 10 pm the out side temp was 15c and Kita and I were sweating our , OK Kita doesn't have any. It was hot so we opened the patio door when all of a sudden the wind kicked up and it was raining on my lazy boy. The wind was so strong that my boat was almost doing a wheelie. We got another 1.6 inches of rain. Around 11:30 I went out and pumped out the boat.

It snowed this morning, that's snow on Kita's back.


It really came down for a while this afternoon. "They" are calling for up to 15 cm over night. Yahooooo!!!!!! Rev 'er up Razor!


This morning I hooked up the power cables to the garage. Then I went to Jack's and replaced a part in his washing machine.

One more wakey, Berlin. Ya better bring your trap doors!

Lonely duck this afternoon.


It's a cool, damp, breezy day. I was working in the garage this morning and had to come in and have a coffee to warm up my hands. I even have a fire going already. See? I'm not as insensitive as some people think. Even Kita is curled up in front of the stove. I think I'll just hibernate the rest of the day and catch up on the news papers.

C, a grey jay is, wait for it, grey! Not blue, I'll try for a better pic. They are usually very friendly and will take food from your hand.

7:30 am, yup, I slept in.






Not much to report today. I got about 6 cords of wood put in the shed today. While I was stacking the wood, I thought that guys should do more planning on stacking wood. We should space our splitter/stackers apart. When one splitter/stacker heads off to university, you have another one ready to take over.

I had five more Whiskey jacks, aka Grey jays or Canada jays show up again today, but they were a little camera shy.

I had a great time at thanksgiving dinner last night. Thanks, Josee and Ed and Brian and June and Catherine and Jamie and........Alanna and..........(sometimers)...Thanks everybody. Those Brits can cook Canadian too! Turkey, ham and all the fixin's. I have enough left overs to last me a week. (see Cathy?) Today I started loading up the wood shed to work off some of that supper. I was doing real good until the mayor and superintendent showed up and made me drink some more barleyade, but today was a perfect day for that too.

Gotta go now, my eyes are getting buggy, I've been here for an hour and a half trying to post pics.

Not much to report today. Gotta start my buns soon for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner. I wonder if we are having haggis, or is that the other people with the funny accent?

Yes, Cathy, the more you work, the more it sucks. All bosses are idiots, even (especially?) if you are self employed. 2012? (2012 - 2006, carry the 2 + 1/2) ouch my head hurts, That is like forever away. You can retire now and live cheap. First, get youself a cat. Then you can buy dry cat food legally. Cat food and milk makes a nice breakfast. Then for supper, give your dog half a can of food and fry up the other half with eggs or potatoes and lots of ketchup. When you want some people food, just whip up some buns and people will invite you over for a real deal meal. What else do you need? As long as you can pay your sin taxes and get the occasional bag of Doritos, life is good. Good luck with that.

A foggy morning at -3.2 degrees.


There was so much frost this morning that it was too damp to work out side so Kita and I went bird watching. We saw three of the tasty variety. The first one flew before we got close enough. Kita flushed the second one too soon. And the third one took off after I passed it as I was coming back into the yard. This shot is looking down the big hill on my driveway.


I met a bunch of guys that have a contract to thin out the bush. That lost dog belonged to one of them.

This afternoon I made another shelter for the propane tanks on my furnace. Today was just an awesome day. A day so nice that you would be glad that you were not working for "the man", or "the woman"(see, I'm learning PC), or the wing nut in the corner office with the personality of a sea slug. No pics cause you would just get jealous and quit your job. Then who would pay for CPP?

It started clearing up just after I posted yesterday.


-1.9 degrees this morning. What can you say about a sunrise like this? Wow, maybe.

Today I ran a couple of power cables to the garage. It's only taken me a year and a half to get it done. Next trip to town, I'll get some light fixtures. Maybe the guy who makes the mess out there will now be able to see, so he can put stuff back where it belongs.

Yesterday I removed the funny letters that you have to type in to post a comment. The idea is to prevent spamming. Some people said that they couldn't figure out how to comment. But the last comment looks like spam. If it happens again, I'll put the funny letters back in.

Not much to report on today. We got another .7 inches of rain, a good day to do the Molly maid thing. My buns got invited out for Thanksgiving supper on Sunday, so I'll sneak in behind them.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I checked up on the progress at the Kelly's. While Dan relaxes at work(?), Kathleen is just smoking along. Most of the house is primed and the flooring is starting to go down. Oh yeah, Kim is still helping out a little. Kathleen will make a carpenter out of him yet.

Do you know this dog? It showed up at the Kelly's today. It is a beautiful and well mannered dog. The Kellys will take him to the shelter tomorrow.

22 degrees today. My screened in deck is full of lady bugs and house flies. One of the wonders of the world, mosquitoes do not get in, but these big bugs do.


We took out the Frasertown marina last evening. The superintendent wore his wet suit. No pic, something about a bullet and a backhoe. But the mayor did say that his buns looked tight.

C: My camera is a Nikon D70 with a 18-70mm lens. One disadvantage is that you can't just shove it in a pocket. Another problem is that dirt has gotten inside the zoom lens and I haven't figured how to get it out, with out sending it back to the factory.

Again, it cleared up as the sun set.




What a beautiful start to the work week, he-he, haw-haw, chuckle-chuckle.




I replaced a rotten window sill on the kitchen window today. See, I get things done when people leave me alone. Of course the garage needs another clean up. I'm going over to Frasertown in a few minutes to help remove the marina. I get the hint, I won't have a place to park the boat now. Hmmm.

We got Shirley moved and while I was in town I picked up some groceries, gas and paid my "sin" taxes. It's still cloudy and a comfortable 12c but no rain so far.

It cleared up just before dark last evening.

I went to Frasertown today and helped Trailerpark Dan, Chris and Razor drink beer, I mean put a new roof on the shower house. I didn't think it merited a pic. Tomorrow we are moving Shirley. No, she's not moving here. We still haven't negotiated the cat puke thing.
