Tuesday we woke up to -13c and another dusting of snow.
Here I tried to get a shot of the "diamonds" falling from the trees.
We had 2 empty 200lb propane tanks, so I went to town with Grasshopper. Part of our driveway.
4wheeler traffic on the Brule Lake road.
Sand Lake, where the heron nests used to be.
North Bay, it's all down hill from here.
Going home, you are here???
Good night.
Another dusting this morning.
An air hole to the right of the dock.
It's hard to tell from this pic, but, there are 5 inches of good ice here. Like I told Razor the other day, I would drive HIS black beauty across the ice, with a life jacket and a 2X4. An 8 foot 2X4.
I started work on the snow ramp for snow machine access.
Another air hole.
This air hole was hiding under the snow.
This pic is for someone who is home sick. Ahh, don't worry, you'll be home in what 58 days? Or it will seem like it. Har, har, har. HEY! Watch that mouth, this is a family friendly blog.
By the way, Happy WINTER Solstice!

Woke up to a dusting of snow on Sunday.
See? We are not the only ones waiting for ice. This was a fox that went through our property.
I think that this one was a mink. Right trapper Jon?
This was taken later in the day. Do you see the pressure cracks? Remember them.
More snow this morning. Soon, the old goat will have to go to her winter parking spot.
The weight of the snow pushes water up through the ice. Friday we had 2 inches of good blue ice, today we have 4inches of crunchy popcorn ice.
I went up on the roof to give you an aerial view and one of my buddies kept an eye on me.
Remember those pressure cracks? No you can see how the water is pushed up through.
Bubbly ice.
Tonight they are calling for -18c, that'll stiffen 'er up.

Sunset Wednesday.
Makin' ice PT1.5, yeah, we had a slight set back yesterday. This global warming isn't getting any better. Are you sure that you changed to CFLs? Led lighting would be even better.
Thursday.
Friday
Today as it just started snowing, it's all white now.
On my way to feed the grouse, this guy came in to steal a seed.
Mrs Henny Penny with the messed up ruff on the right, and one of her daughters.
Hey Liz, is there a bad jealous?
Anne, how would you bring your kitchen, and all those lobsters here?

Makin' ice PT2
Last Friday morning.
Saturday morning.
Yes Linda, it was that thick.
Sunday morning.
Monday morning.
Tuesday morning, +11c and rain.
The temp dropped to freezing during the day. Now, that's a sun set.
Today, a dusting of snow on the ice.
Still some air holes.
A little weak around the shore.
About an hour ago. See? That's why we like ice, it's a solar amplifier, if you live on the north side, and you can turn your panels.
