Sorry I'm late folks, I was hanging drywall at the Kelly's today and had a Bud break at the end of the day. For a guy who doesn't particularly like the barley and hops mixture, I've learned how to enjoy the stuff. It's all Razor's fault. Also a big sorry to the Redpath dudes, I know life is easier when the boss is away, but Kim needed some guidance.

Last evening.

Looking south at 7 am.

A word to Gord and Don, you southern boys might want to bring your fleece lined long johns. People tell me it cools off quickly when the sun goes down.

Who's nervous?

George keeps a mouse out of Jay's shoes on the deck.

It dropped down to .1 degrees c last night. Heavy fog on the water this morning.

More fall colours.

Jay left around 10 this morning. I went to town to hit the spots that I didn't have patience for last week.

Sunday, September 10, 2006

Yesterday Jay and I just cruised the lake dropping in and visiting beverage fridges.

1.1 degrees c this morning and a beautiful frost. Good bye nasty bugs.

There's a loon in the fog somewhere. Doesn't come out too good in this small format.

We had fresh scallops and bourbon marinated steak for supper last night. Life is tough in the bush.

Check out the link to my daughter's family blog on the right to see a fun party. We don't have parties like that at the Lube and Grill.

Happy birthday K-man! The big 5.0.

There is one thing with more than 4 legs that I like. Thanks Jay.

George didn't want to tangle with the lobster.

Oops, I didn't take a pic after they were cooked. I don't have lobster crackers, so we used channel lock pliers.

South is thatta way. The geese have been going south the past week.

We had a pretty good thunder storm yesterday, a half inch of rain in 15 minutes, and an inch total. Looks like it will clear up to be a nice day. I wonder what trouble Jay and I will get into before this day is over.

Too busy to post yesterday, and only one post today. Jason is coming for a visit and I'll have to keep the phone line open.

Wednesday evening.

Don't look Berlin! Yesterday Richie and I took down a tree at Jack and Linda's. It was between their house, bunkie, and a couple of sheds. The only damage done was to my elbow.

Some fall colour.

Full moon light in the narrows last night.

Rich and I had supper IN the BIG house last evening. Razor cooked, at least someone in the family has the cooking gene.

Two posts in one day, see I usually make it up to you.

The moon last night, full moon on Thursday.

Some colour on the Notman road.

The lake this afternoon.

So, I went to town this morning and some of you didn't stay out of my way. I left about 8:30 and made 11 stops. I was supposed to go to two more places, but my patience wore too thin. I'll hit those spots next month. I was back home at 1:30 and it took a half hour to empty the truck. Buy bulk I always say. I also got my Tomiko uniform tailored. Some day I'll have to take a picture of everybody on parade.

The other night I got a phone call from a guy who sleeps at the place that used to pay me. Now, this is a high tech company whose slogan, (besides the one that says "all employees are cattle dung"), is "making technologies work better". It seems that some of those over paid, not over worked, boobs can't find this site! Some times you don't get what you pay for. Sleep well Canada, these people will keep you safe!????
I couldn't post yesterday because I had to console Richie because Berlin left him. She had to go back to work. Richie will stay till the weekend.

Crazy clouds Monday afternoon.

Monday evening.

Monday night.

Tuesday morning.

A loon in Richie's back bay.

Leanne and Laura decorated the out house.

Richie and I checked on the Kelly's progress. The septic field is going in.

The siding is half done.

I'm going to town today, get outta my way.

Monday, September 04, 2006

Not much to report today, just did laundry this morning. Leanne and Laura came over to meet George. George says that they taste just like chicken.

7:30 am.

A different merganser family in the narrows.

By 4 pm it started to clear up.

2 PM. It seems like a long time since I've posted a pic with out the sun.

I gotta learn to shut my windows and doors when I bake bread. In the morning I made a batch of white bread. Then went out and helped Jack fix a guy wire. When I got back I made a batch of raisin bread. I had no sooner got it in the oven, when the phone rang (at 4 PM) that we were having a pot luck supper. Well, at least we were invited up to the big house. OK, OUTSIDE the big house.

Am I having a Flashback? It might look more like N.S., but it is a drum band on Little Tomiko.
Mergansers yesterday morning.

Now, what little boy named Lee, wouldn't just love a privy like this?

A TV too!

Hopefully Martha will come back and redo a couple of other privies, or at least introduce the owners to air fresheners.

Yesterday afternoon I went to Richie's to get some gas that he had picked up on his trip to town. I met his friends Ben and Laura who fell in love with the north country. I ended up staying for supper. We had bear sausages. No, we didn't cook his dog.

Some art work left behind by Kevin. The rocks on the right are just balanced.

The view fom Rich and Leanne's.
