We woke up this morning with a wolf on the tree line. I then noticed another one, then another and then one more. We watched them, and them us, for a good half hour. I was out side first in my jockeys and slippers. I was using a tripod at first but with all of the panning and zooming trying to watch all four, it was just a pain. You will notice that the wolves keep looking back towards Wolf Bay. About a half hour after these videos were taken and as I was uploading, a fifth wolf came out of Fennel's Bay, crossed in front of Bedrock and right up Bill's point. You might also answer the question does a wolf sh#t on the ice? 2 times. In the third video the fourth wolf howls and even lays down and howls.

Happy Birthday Super Nova!
Wow, yer 11 years old already. This picture was taken on your first visit to Little Tomiko.
Now look at you, almost all grown up.
No grouse for a couple of months and then this one has shown up a few days in a row. But, no Mrs. Henny Penny.
Bonehead and Big Luke (AKA the drive belt replacement team) blew thru on the weekend.
Play off football supper. Thin crust and veggies and Brother's pepperoni for her.
HEY! Whats that GREEN stuff on my pizza?
Regular crust for him.

A quick update.
Sunrise on the 7th.
Sun set on the 9th.
We FINALLY got the tree line in on the 15th.
We have some snow, more than last year at this time.
On the 16th we saw two wolves on the lake. There was a raven harassing them. Maybe Dawg? A while ago someone had asked if wolves weren't a pack animal. We normally just see family groups of two to four. I think that the bush here is too dense for pack hunting but they do seem to get together if a moose gets on a lake or an open area. Maybe there is a biologist out there that can prove my theory?
These videos are shaky on maximum zoom. There was also operator error the missed about 5 minutes of video.

Somebody got an omelette for supper the other night chock full of veggies.
The view around the yard this morning. We are in the middle of a heat wave, so we don't know how long we can hang onto our snow.
