This is a public service announcement. The Notman road is down to one lane only. Some places you can not even open your doors. So, until further notice, do not take your vehicle up the road or you may end up meeting a snow plow. There is no room to park or to turn around.

...........................

This might be a big post, get prepared.

.....................

OK, ready now?

Last Tuesday we made a big pot of chili. We put it out on the deck to cool off and the ermine found it and checked it out.

Scar on it's butt.

Making sure that the recyclables are clean enough.

The scar.

Checking out Grasshopper's peppers and onions.

Wednesday the outer dressing came off.

No stitches? They just crisscrossed tape to keep things together.

Thursday we got some snow.

Up to the kitchen window.

Grasshopper likes the snow blower.

Tunnel to the deck door.

Snow blowing is fun!

Redpolls right up to the observation window.

Sun setting thru Yamaha bay.

Grasshopper getting used to the blower.

Thursday the ermine came for a visit after dark.

It didn't mind the million power flashlight shining on it.

Grasshopper was to fly out to Florida on Sunday. They were calling for another 20 to 30 cms of snow over Saturday night. With the Notman road down to one lane already, we decided to take her into town and have her stay at the AKA Smith's.

This corner looks more like a luge run than a road.

This is at the gravel pit. The drifts were 6 feet deep. Razor came with his back hoe and blasted it open.

Yup, I'm on my own again. Oh, come on, give me a break. You cleanse with your flax seed/avocado/mango/Greek yogurt/ birch bark slurpee, and I'll cleanse my way.

Saturday was also Men's weekend euchre tournament.

We had a smaller turn out this year 'cause some people thought that it was last weekend. Dumb asses. How could you not remember that it is the last full weekend in February. Dumb asses.

Who won the poker draw with a flush? Oh, that would be me! That'll pay for my KFC.

Big Rick and Berg from the Sarnia camp won the euchre tournament.

This grouse almost came in thru the observation window.

We got more snow over night. But a beautiful sunny morning.

A fox scrounging around the bird feeders.

Some of the trees on the line are almost buried.

The fox is sticking to the packed snowmobile trails.

As I sit here doing this blog, there is a white out with high winds. I think I hear whimpering coming from Bedrock and The Estate.

I put out the ash can first thing this morning.

That was a long post so I won't bore you with some stupid jokes.

What's that? You have time for a couple? OK!

For Jose and Mrs. Slate. X(

I keep getting "poked" by this one. =D>

  :D/
