Happy Halloween.

On Friday evening, just after dark, it was reported that there might be a boat floating around Tomiko Pond. Being that it was dark and by myself, I didn't think that I would put myself at risk for a possible boat, or a log, or Tommy the Loch Tomiko Monster. After all, does anybody really know what those Limeys put in their tea? Yesterday morning Pet Lamb also reported a boat bobbing off of Richie's. I eventually found the boat bumping on shore about a hundred yards from the Shaw's.
There was no plug in the boat and water up to the seats making it really heavy to tow and with no keel it zigzagged all over. The bow tried to submarine whenever I picked up speed threatening to take my boat down to Davey Jones Locker too.
I eventually dragged it to Maxie Park where TT and Vic helped bail it out and haul it up on shore. The boat's owner has been notified.

WE HAVE SNOW! OK, maybe not as much as they have in the NWT, but there is no proof of that, is there Tim? Pics seem to be loading today Tim.
On the way back from town yesterday I stopped at the culvert at the river. The beavers have it plugged up again, but with all the rain that we had in the past few weeks, I think the water is higher than my chest waders. This is a big culvert that I can walk through. I might have to wait for a life guard to be on duty.
Close up of how thick that they have it packed in.
The Notman Road improvements. It's nice to see MY infrastructure dollars at work for ME.
But they didn't work on the Brule Lake road .......
or my driveway.

I've been busy, so give me a break.
Saturday, taking the HMS Miss Jose out for dry dock.
Jose handling the mooring lines.
High and dry.
Bryan and I taking out the dock. Judy was around somewhere, taking pictures I think.
The dock put away for another winter.
On Sunday I went to Indian Lake and took out Gerrie's docks, swim raft, paddle boat, and winterized the water system. I also got on "Speaking" terms with the boys from Hammer town.
The fish have been jumping all over the lake first thing in the morning.
Blowing fog early in the morning. Almost looks like a snow storm.
Laundry, all by myself.
Supper, home made pizza.
Still lookin' goood! Protecting his raw hide from George.
I have a new favorite one man blues band. Check out Son of Dave at

I'm still here, and you thought that I couldn't look after myself. Who do you think looked after me long ago B.C.? Well, I had left overs for Friday and Saturday. On Sunday I went to have a pop or two with Mr. Slate, and wouldn't you know, they were having Thanksgiving dinner. They twisted my arm so I reluctantly stayed for turkey and all the fixin's and really good lemon pie. As payment, I let Mr. Slate beat me at pool.
On Sunday, I was invited to the Fowler's. Here we had turkey, ham, and more veggies than you could ever possibly eat. I brought home enough left overs to last me at least three days.
Ok, here's the hard part, remembering names, especially when they throw in THREE newbies. Let's see, Jose, Nickie, Beth, Grace, Tina, Ed, Shirley, Tom, me, and Jocelyn . Missing in these pics are Bryan and Leah. They had to take a trip into Emerg 'cause Bryan cut his hand trying to help me dock the boat.
Random pics, the sunrise ones are kind nice, I think.
This really sucks, especially when the owner wasn't riding it.
Remember that you can click on the pics to make them bigger.

Warning! Warning! Warning!
Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!
The new age Thelma and Louise, AKA The Queen of London and Grasshopper are descending on the Land That Time Forgot. They plan to wreck havoc and mayhem, or fun and games at least, on the poor, suffering souls on the Least Coast.
Packing up. How much stuff do you really need for a three week trip?
Bye! Have fun and remember, "It's only fun and games 'till someone loses an eye, or a hip."
Some more sun sets.
Supper time for the Whiskey Jacks.
Lately I have been uploading the pics in full size, thanks to high speed. If you want to you can click on them for a bigger picture.
Happy Birthday Coolman!
I would put up a pic of you but you have probably grown a beard since the last time your Dad did a blog. Just sayin'.
