Last Tuesday morning I took Grasshopper for a drive around the block.
I can't tell you where this goes, or I would find myself on the wrong end of a bullet and a backhoe.
Razor, Grasshopper has some redecorating ideas for you. Your turn!
Original log cabin sandwiched between vinyl siding.
This one is for Linda, and Dave and Sharon.
The other day I was riding the ski-doo-bee-doo when I saw a sun dog in the rear view mirror.
I managed to get a pic when I got home.
We woke up to some flurries and a breeze this morning. You know, no whining, no crying, except maybe from the Duchess of Tomiko and I think I heard a "OH NO!" from Bedrock. But that's the way we roll at the center, no snowmegeddon, no calling out the army. Just get the Notman plow crew unstuck and carry on with your day. So much for Willie, Sam, and Phil. Who could trust a rat, or a rat dog?
Then it's off to Metropolis to see Stephen Harper the musical.

A beautie day for ridin'!
The euchre tournament. I tried to get a pic of everyone, but, if you don't see your self it's cause your too ugly.
Rick and Ray from the Jocko Camp won the tournament. Jon, my new partner and I did OK, but, in the end we ran out of good cards. No, pics of the wieners 'cause I was too tired at 2:30 in the morning to push thru the crowd.
I'm not positive, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Marlow, from the Kelly Camp won the poker run???

Monday was bread baking day.
The buns were for a dinner at La Maison de Les Fowler's celebrating TT's birthday. In attendance were Bryan, Razor(!), TT, Sir Edwin, me, Grasshopper and Chef Extraordinaire Jose. Missing was June.
I've been trying to get good pics of the male redpoles, but they are extremely camera shy. You will have to blow up the pics to see some colour.
A nut hatch came by.
This chick-a-dee kept posing up close.
Making wind power today. As a side bar did you hear that Ontario Hydro customers are getting a rate increase (plus HST) to cover losses caused by a fine for over charging on overdo accounts? They were charging 60% interest and were fined 18 million in fines and court costs. The Ontario Energy board agreed that YOU should have to pay for that. Who are paying these guys anyway?
Solar/wind power to the people! Just say'in.
Thanks, I feel much better now. Now it is time for another public safety message. This weekend is Men's weekend at Little Tomiko, so lock up your women, children and rat dogs.

Happy 00100010'th Birthday
Dr. Joseph!
Yesterday we had a burp in the space/time continuum. Spring dropped by for a day bringing fog, positive temps and over 3/4 inches of rain taking away a lot of our snow and making the lake wet again.
But, today all is well at the center of the universe. -10 degrees and 2 Cm's of fresh snow.
Here is the wind experiment. A 600 watt wind turbine. Right now it is installed on the walkway down to the dock. And of course the howling winds of the past few days have died down. In the spring I'll have to find someone to erect and climb a tower. Hmmm, I'm not hearing a whole lot of pick me, pick me!

Just another sun set, last ticks.
Last Saturday the, um, let's call them the "Smiths" dropped by on their his and hers Grizzlies.
Up close it kind of looks like a transformer.
Last Sunday/Monday we had some flurries with a stiff breeze.
Redpolls finally showed up.
The gate.
Scenes on the lake.
Speed bumps.
Last year Grasshopper saved all of Kita's shedded hair. Mes amie, Germ, spun the hair with alpaca wool into yarn.
And she knitted this toque! Merci, mon chere amie.
So, I've been experimenting with the passing of wind as a power option. Pics when I get it all figured out.
I went to town today! First time since Dec 4th I think. Grasshopper couldn't get my teeth cleaned for me. Well, maybe in a few years she might be able to.
